Artie serves as the Executive Director of the Takodah YMCA. In addition to his leadership of Camp Takodah, Artie also oversees our Outdoor Education and Developmental Travel Programs. Most recently, Artie served as the Executive Director of Overnight Camps for the YMCA of Greater Boston, which has family camp, two resident camps, and day camp programs. Previously, Artie served as the Senior Program Director at YMCA Camp Minikani in Milwaukee, WI and held positions at Archdeacon Gilfillan Center and Nature’s Classroom.
Artie has a Masters of Science: Kinesiology from UNH and a Bachelors of Education: Outdoor Recreation from the University of Kansas. He also holds multiple certifications from the Y-USA continuing education and training programs.
Ryan serves as the Camp Director of Camp Takodah. Ryan started his career in summer camp at 14 years-old as a Counselor-In-Training. Since then, he has held just about every position at summer camp, from Cabin Leader to Camp Director. Ryan has served as a professional Camp Director for the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Lutheran/Episcopal Outdoor Ministries, and Disney Cruise Line, in addition to YMCA Camps in Ohio, Iowa, and New Hampshire.
Ryan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations/Marketing and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management. He is also a certified Camp Director, certified YMCA Executive Director and Trainer, certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor, a graduate of the Disney Leadership Institute, and a former Board Member of the American Camp Association – Ohio. In addition to his work at Camp Takodah, Ryan serves as a Board Member for the Monadnock Humane Society and a CASA/GAL with CASA of New Hampshire.
After sending his daughter, Katie, to summer camp for many years, Keith joined the Takodah Team in 2016 as our Facilities Manager. Before he started fixing things for camp, he fixed engines for the Merchant Marines. He sailed around the world in the ‘70s and started working for New York City in the ‘80s. Moving to Keene in the early 2000s, camp is now the place he calls home.
Carlie serves as the Assistant Camp Director of Camp Takodah. She joined the Takodah community in 2001 as a camper, and since then she has completed the Leadership Development Program and held a number of different positions on staff. Carlie is a recent graduate of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology. In her down time, Carlie enjoys reading, painting, and exploring the Monadnock region.
Linda serves the Cheshire YMCA as our Office Manager. Linda was born and raised in Cheshire County. She comes with 20+ years of background in human resources and customer service. Linda enjoys the outdoors and traveling to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia with her black lab Beth. She also enjoys all New England sports teams and reading.
Judy serves the Takodah YMCA as the Office Registrar. She is originally from New Jersey and relocated to New England 14 years ago. She worked for an Insurance company for 14 years before joining our staff.
