We are committed to giving kids the resources they need to reach their potential — and providing their families with access and support to attend Camp Takodah programs.
Campership Request Applications are due no later than February 14, 2018.
Community Service Requirement
Campership recipients are asked to attend Opportunities Day. If your family is not able to attend Opportunities Day, your child is required to provide 10 hours of community service in your community before summer camp. This “pay it forward” philosophy of financial assistance has always been a core value at Takodah. In addition to giving your child a chance to “give back,” doing volunteer service will give them a greater sense of pride, satisfaction, and accomplishment. It will also teach them to take responsibility and work hard for something they care about.
O-Day is on April 28, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, at Camp Takodah. Volunteers will help with preparing Takodah for summer camp through projects like raking, spreading mulch, weeding, washing windows, cleaning, and painting. We will provide a free barbecue lunch at 12:00 noon. Please RSVP to 603-352-0447 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your family is not able to attend Opportunities Day, your child is required to provide 10 hours of community service in your community before summer camp. They could easily volunteer their time by raking leaves or shoveling snow for a neighbor, helping an elderly friend or family member, babysitting at no charge, taking part in a school volunteer project, or volunteering for an organization that interests them.
