Arrival and Departure

Transportation & Airport Runs

Parents are responsible for providing transportation to/from Camp Takodah for their campers at their own expense. If your child is flying to camp, we can provide transportation for them from the Boston Logan International Airport ($100 round-trip) during the following time-frames only:

  • Opening Days: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Closing Days: 2:00 – 6:00 PM

If you prefer to send your camper outside of these time-frames, you’re responsible for securing your own transportation to Camp Takodah. Please contact the Camp Office at least three weeks before your session to arrange transportation and pay the transportation fees.

Summer Camp Dates

1-Week Camp

  • Session 1A: June 23 – June 29
  • Session 1B: July 29 – July 5

2-Week Camp & Leaders Corps

  • Session 1: June 23 – July 5
  • Session 2: July 7-19
  • Session 3: July 21 – August 2
  • Session 4: August 4-16

Leader-in-Training

  • Session 1/2: June 23 – July 19
  • Session 3/4: July 21 – August 16

Check-In Times

Parents/guardians will receive their division assignments 24 hours before arrival. Your division assignment determines your 30-minute check-in window. When you receive that 24-hour email you will be given a 30 minute window between 1-3:30pm to drop off your camper. Families with campers in both Girls+ Camp and Boys+ Camp that have the SAME check-in time can choose which camper to drop off first.

2-Week Camp

  • 1:00 PM or 3:30 PM based on your division assignment (Sunday)

Leader-in-Training

  • South Camp: 10:00 AM (Sunday)
  • North Camp: 10:00 AM (Sunday)

Check-Out Times

Closing Day at camp is packed full of traditions, awards, and last minute camp fun. We ask that you adhere to our check out time to ensure your camper gets to complete their camp experience.

2-Week Camp

  • South Camp: 6:00 PM (Friday)
  • North Camp: 6:00 PM (Friday)

Leader-in-Training

  • South Camp: 6:00 PM (Friday)
  • North Camp: 6:00 PM (Friday)

Police Notification

Local officials have prohibited line-ups on Fitzwilliam Road/119 and the camp lane for public safety reasons. Please plan your trip so you arrive in Richmond no earlier than your scheduled 30-minute check-in time. You will not able to exit your car until your scheduled 30-minute check-in time so there is no benefit to arriving early.
