How were you introduced to Takodah?

My brother, Bruce, started working at Camp during his college summers. I went to Mini Camp the first year when he was working the kitchen and loved it. It was a couple of years later that I started attending girls camp after Bruce became the camp director.

Did you attend college and, if so, where and what did you study?

Yes, I attended Keene State College and studied psychology.

What do you do for work?

I work as a National Quality Improvement Director for a behavioral health benefits management company.

What moment in your career are you most proud of?

Earning my professional certification.

Did your time at Takodah influence your career? If so, how?

Yes, working with kids helped steer me towards adolescent psychology early in my career. I progressed in my career from there.

Are there any skills or traits that you gained at Takodah which you use in your professional life?

Be friendly to all. You never know what obstacles people are trying to overcome.

Are there any specific memories from your time at Takodah that are still impactful to you?

I met my best friend there and we are still friends today! Additionally, I can remember sitting on the office porch or Mem Lodge with Doug, Bill, Denis, Chris, Diane, Suzy, Rosy, and others at various times and just enjoying life and each other’s company. It is a feeling I can still feel when I close my eyes and experience restfulness.
