Mushrooms, pickles, and karaoke. What do they all have in common? Well, this year they were each part of a vast and unique list of class options offered at Women’s Weekend.

A mushroom tour around Takodah’s 500+ acres, a visit to the annual Winchester Pickle Festival, singing Karaoke at the top of our lungs in the Dining Hall, and so much more. The activities, run by vendors, volunteers, and Takodah Staff are as unique as the women attending the weekend.

Each year at the end of September, women from all over the country gather on the shores of Cass Pond to participate in fun activities, eat amazing food, and enjoy the company of friends, both old and new. This year was no exception as over 75 campers enjoyed a weekend to rejuvenate their minds, bodies, and spirits.

When asked if they would recommend Women’s Weekend to a friend, participants shared a resounding, YES!

“Yes! I have been, to all my friends. It was a really welcoming, fun, and supportive experience. Participants could take what they wanted from the weekend and customize the experience to fit their preferences. Loved the energy and friendliness of the staff, too!”

“Yes, because it is amazingly good fun, a positive space where you can try anything and be supported and cheered even if it is outside your comfort zone. The pace of the days is perfect and there is enough structure but not too much if you want to blow off everything and nap or go for a walk. We get to be kid-like and have somebody else make most of the adult decisions! Also, Camp Takodah is an amazing place that deserves support.”

“Yes, definitely. A very supportive, inclusive weekend that allowed us to completely step out of regular life and spend time trying new things, relaxing, and connecting with old or new friends. A refreshing experience.”

If you’re looking for a supportive community or for a fun weekend getaway, look no further! Join us at Women’s Weekend 2023 because it won’t be the same without you.
