Family Camp Program

The beauty of the Family Camp schedule is that it is flexible. Takodah staff will organize events and activities that appeal to all age groups. Of course, there will be plenty of time for relaxation and family bonding.

We also invite families to take the lead on organizing programs to share with other families. Maybe you could start up a morning running club, lead a special art project, or organize a golf outing. Contact Ryan, Camp Director, at ryan@takodahymca.org if you want to discuss an idea.

We have several staff teams to support the Family Camp Program:

Waterfront – With one of New Englands most beautiful waterfronts, we invite you to enjoy swimming and boating on Cass Pond.

Adventure – Challenge yourself to develop teamwork or achieve personal goals on our extensive low and high ropes courses, including the climbing tower and giant swing.

Hobby Nook – Discover your inner-artist as you enjoy many different mediums of arts, with everything from candling to watercolor painting.

Youth & Adult Programs – Our youth and adult programs staff will keep everyone entertained with a variety of activities for different ages.

Trip Programs – Our trip programs staff will arrange a variety of day and overnight trips for both youth/teens and adults.

In addition to regularly scheduled activities, there will be special events, such as trips to Mount Monadnock, swims around Cass Pond, the annual triathlon, and the staff versus camper softball game.

As the sun sets over Cass Pond, the fun will just be getting started Takodah staff will lead entertaining evening programs:

• Sunday – Opening Campfire (families are welcome to prepare a song or skit to share)
• Monday – Wacky Olympics
• Tuesday -Division Campfires and Smores
• Wednesday – Contra Dancing
• Thursday – Takodah Follies (performers of ALL abilities are encouraged and celebrated)
• Friday – Closing Candlelight Program
