The Parent Guide will help you prepare your child for a successful camp experience. Enrolled families will find this in their CampInTouch account under Forms & Documents. Please read it cover-to-cover. If you have questions, please contact us at 603-352-0447 or info@takodahymca.org.
PACKING LISTWe work hard to ensure our menu provides good options for all campers. We serve vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options at every meal. In addition, meals include cereal, sandwich, soup, and salad options, as well as frequent Chef’s Specials. For the safety of all campers, Takodah maintains a nut-free environment.
In order to attend summer camp, children must be able to maintain proper nutrition and hydration from the options provided. We are unable to accommodate special requests or additional food supplements from home
If you’re unsure whether your child will have trouble with the options provided (e.g. unusually picky eater, food anxiety, oral sensory issues, dietary restrictions/allergies), please contact us to learn more about whether Takodah is the right fit for you child.
Food Service Information & MenuCamp Takodah is a gender-expansive inclusive and welcoming space in a way that is considerate of all campers. As a general guideline, we identify options for meeting the needs of gender-expansive campers on a case-by-case manner. The first step is having a conversation with the camper and their family about how Camp Takodah can best meet their needs.
GENDER INCLUSION POLICYAt Camp Takodah, the health and safety of every camper is our highest priority. That’s why we’ve partnered with YMCA of the USA and Praesidium, the leader in youth protection, to prevent bullying and other inappropriate behaviors at camp.
