The last full day of Camp Takodah is filled with sunshine and smiling campers.  Our last day is usually filled with as much energy as the past two weeks have been, with songs being excessively loud in the dining hall and campers playing all out during free times.  Today we had one of our best traditions during Cabin Activity, Tpac Expo.  This is when campers decide on different skits and songs, and then get to perform them in front of the entire rest of camp.  It's a great way for the campers to work on their Tpac Challenges and for them to express their skills in singing and dancing.

Tonight our evening program is Candlelight Ceremony.  This is one of our longest standing traditions here at camp and is a time for the campers to reflect on their time here at Camp and the different aspects of camp as it relates to the different candles of character; Wisdom, Intelligence, Service, Worship, Friendship, Health, and Character.  Staff members, as well as campers, can go up and tell favorite memories, sing songs, or discuss what certain aspects mean to them, and eventually all the candles are lit.  Each camper receives her own candle, lit from the Candle of Character, and the lights around Takodah are shut off so only the candlelight leads their way.  Its a great way to end our time here at Takodah and an amazing time to stop and think about the difference that Takodah has made to each individual camper.
