Today was a bright, sunny day, with hardly a cloud in the sky, perfect weather for camp.  Here at Takodah we have 4 periods throughout the day that the campers go to.  3 classes are chosen by the individual campers as to where they are supposed to be at, and are usually construction making, or skill building classes, such as soccer or crafting.  The 4th period occurs after Lunch and siesta and is a free time period where the campers get to do anything they want.  Today the campers chose their 3 classes and got their cabin photos taken.

Tonight's evening program is division night, which is a time for each individual division, Penacook, Monadnock, or Cherokee, to play together as opposed to just their individual cabins.  The Penacook Division ran an Animorph Tag down at the point, which was a brand new version of tag that no one had played before.  The Monadnock Division ran an almost "open field" activity, yet it included a slip and slide, baggo, and a sponge race.  The Cherokee Division ran a game similar to Scattagories, except the kids arranged themselves into groups that all like the same thing, such as one of the leaders would call out favorite food, and all the girls that like pizza would get together in a group.  This was a great way to get the Cherokee's to know more about each other and make the transition into camp all the easier.
