Today we welcomed in a brand new team of campers, the 2008 Girls Camp Session One crew. While the morning had been beautiful and full of sunshine, by the time our girls began checking in, the clouds hit and the rain followed swiftly. It was a nigh torrential downpour, yet with the excitement and smiles on the campers faces, nothing could ruin our day. Our girls staff welcomed in their new drove ofOpening Campfire campers with smiles and open cabins that desperately needed inhabitants. This is looking like one of the fullest and most exciting girl's camp yet, with many new faces and many old faces, each with something unique and awesome to bring to camp.

Tonight's evening program was Opening Campfire. This is a time for all the support staff, cabin leaders, and "A Team" members to introduce themselves to the camper, some for the first time, others for another year. This year's campfire brought in some of the old traditions, with the teaching of cheers and funny skits that left smiles on everyone's face.
